TC on Aerial Robotics call for student representatives 2026

The IEEE Robotics & Automation Society (RAS) is excited to announce an open call for enthusiastic and dedicated students to join the Technical Committee on Aerial Robotics & UAVs as 'Student Representative'. This is an excellent opportunity to contribute to the advancement of the field and to connect with leading professionals in the field.

 

Role Description:

As a Student Representative, you will work closely with the Chair and Co-Chairs of the Technical Committee on Aerial Robotics & UAVs, assisting in the organization and coordination of technical activities. 

Your responsibilities will include:

1. Assisting in the planning and execution of committee events (e.g., meetings, workshops, etc.).
2. Developing and maintaining content for the TC website and social media channels.
3. Contributing to the development of committee initiatives.
4. Promoting the committee's work and recruiting new student members.
5. Representing the student perspective within the committee.
6. Supporting the preparation of the TC Welcome Kit for ICRA and related flagship conferences.

Requirements:

1. Current enrollment in a related Ph.D. or Master’s program related to Aerial Robotics.
2. Membership in the IEEE, the Robotics & Automation Society, and TC on Aerial Robotics. (Join here: https://tinyurl.com/TC-AerialRob-join) 
3. Demonstrated interest in the field of Aerial Robotics.
4. Excellent communication and organizational skills.
5. Ability to commit to the role for at least one year (renewable).
6. Applicants may apply to only one RAS Technical Committee Student Representative position.
